DJ Christian Woodyatt
Christian Woodyatt is a DJ whose roots run
deep in UK house music culture, with a career
spanning from the early 90s to today’s
dancefloors and airwaves. He first made his
mark as an original resident at Nottingham’s
seminal Venus club, quickly building a
reputation during a formative era for house
music in the UK. Early recognition came via
The Face, which tipped him as “a Balearic DJ
who can mix… one to watch,” followed by a
DJ of the Month feature in i-D Magazine—
leading to a place on their World Tour
alongside Tony Humphries.
Throughout the 90s, Christian became a familiar
name across the UK and Europe, playing alongside
house music’s most respected figures including
David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Danny Tenaglia
and Masters at Work, as well as long-time
inspiration Graeme Park. He became a regular at
the legendary Southport Weekenders and held a
monthly residency at London’s Ministry of Sound,
cementing his place within the scene. Known for a
signature disco-tinged house sound, Christian also
made his mark in the studio under his Nu-Soulboy alias, with releases and
remixes on labels including Virgin (VC) Records and Todd Terry’s SoundDesign
imprint. His production work continues today, with a steady stream of releases
on independent labels and exclusive edits in his DJ sets and radio shows.
In 2020, Christian’s passion for DJing was reignited
when he accepted an offer from an old industry friend,
this time the gig was in the medium of radio. He
launched his weekly show Feel Love Friday, on Crackers
Radio and has not looked back with the show continuing
to grow in popularity week after week, now attracting
guests from the very top tier of the house music scene…
